750ml bottle pours a translucent brown with a ring of beige head. Nose has pine, soil, orange peel, soap, some rubber. Flavor is bitter with toast, rubber, orange peel, soap, pine. Finishes full bodied, but a touch messy.

Sampled from the tap at Winterfest 2015. Pours black with a dark creamy brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of resin and pine with some sweet dark grains and a bit of biscuit underlying. Flavor has a bit of pine, dark grains and a bit of biscuit as well.

Pours a dark brown-black with medium-sized, fast dissipating head. Aroma is redolent of hops, chocolate, coffee, malt. Flavor has some notes of chocolate, coffee, dark fruit (raisin/plum), and piny hops. Also, quite a pronounced alcohol flavor that becomes more prominent as the beer warms. Pretty good offering in this category.
