Tap at The Old Red Cow, London. Pours a cloudy dull orange colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is smoked meat, moderately malty, some caramel. Medium sweetness, low bitterness. Medium body, oily but thin texture, soft carbonation.

On tap at the London Brewers’ Market. Pours hazy orange-gold with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has light dry smoke, husky grains, a little honeyed ham. Light sweet flavour with grassy bitterness, a brush of astringency, dry ham, faint toasted honey. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Dry in the finish, with more grassy and husky bitterness, more dry smoke. Workable stuff.

Gravity dispense at Ealing BF, 06/07/16. Hazed orange amber with a well appointed light beige cap. Nose is smoked malt, toffee, light spice, fruit esters. Taste comprises earthy fruit rinds, smoked malt, biscuit, spice, hint of brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a smoked wood whisper. Solid smoked affair.
