Established by Side Project Brewing in 2017, Shared Brewing was created as an outlet for their team members to develop and brew recipes of their own, without necessarily being aged for extended periods in oak barrels, of which all Side Project beers are. One of Shared's earliest canned releases, Backpack Fashion Show, is a Triple Dry-Hopped Double IPA with a rotating hop bill. For our Freaky Friday release, we chose to brew the third iteration of the beer, with heavy additions of Citra, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin.

Pouring a pale, sunshiney-yellow with a soft, heavy haze, Backpack Fashion Show immediately offers a mouthwatering swell of ripe tropical fruit aromas. Sweet pineapple, zippy mango flesh, and pink starburst jolt from the glass, shrouding secondary citrus and earthy notes of orange zest and pine resin that poke their heads out as the glass warms. Finishing full-bodied and just a touch sweet, Backpack Fashion show is mouth-coating hop goodness.

Pours a hazy golden yellow orange from a can. Nice citrus aroma, nothing earth shattering, similar flavor, leaning more lemon/grapefruit than orange. Bittersweet. Good beer.

Pours a hazy, golden-pear color, with minimal head. Aroma is citrus fruit and pine-hops. Flavor is citrus, tropical fruit, with loads of pine-spruce hoppiness. There's a sweet, soft fullness to the mouthfeel.

Pours light pear into a tulip. Bright white head with little retentino recedes soapily. Dusty lychee and mango aromas. Sweet and gritty with mango and passion fruit upfront turning to dry, bitter ruby grapefruit, citrus pith and peel in the lasting finish.
