The difference between this pint and Yin are staggering. Where Yin was a spot-on example of a type of beer I view with moderate uncertainty, Yang is a rough version of a style I love dearly. Comes across unfinished; the malts present a very raw, wort-ish funkiness underneath the caramel and odd eggnog notes, while the hops are vegetal and bitter, coming across medicinal rather than piney. Never would've expected I'd prefer the NEIPA, but Yang's a tough beer to finish.
