Mumford Brewing Rolling Blackout 7.6% American Stout with Coffee and Vanilla Deep brown/black with a thick tan head and caramel macchiato coffee aroma. Full bodied and velvety smooth with black coffee and dark chocolate up front and vanilla sweetness in the finish.

Can. Black beer with a brown head. Chocolate and coffee aroma. Chocolate and coffee flavor with vanilla. Medium bodied. Vanilla and chocolate linger w th coffee.

Pint can. The beer is black with a good-sized brown head of fine foam. Lots of lacing. The aroma is coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Nice sweet rich coffee flavor. Dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Natural vanilla bean flavor. Coffee is the star of the show but it’s backed up well by the other flavors. Moderately sweet with a nice coffee finish adding a dose of roast bitterness. Big, soft mouthfeel. It could probably use a bit more vanilla flavor, but good stuff happening here. I’ve been impressed with Mumford recently.
