Bottle (5.1% ABV) from The House of Bruar. Clear deep amber body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of fig, caramel and sweet tea. Flavour of toffee, cranberry and strawberry. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Nicely balanced and full flavoured. This should be classed as a Brown Ale, not a Bitter.

Bottle. Dark brown coloured beer with a strong head. The aroma is toffee and caramel with mild roastedness. The flavour is gently bitter with toffee roastedness. Overall a nice roasted and gently malty bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask @ Guildford Arms, 1 West Register Street, Edinburgh, Scotland EH2 2AA. [ As Loch Ness Loch Ness ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, dark malt, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160318]
