Can purchased at Key Market in RWC. Moderate, and delicate, orange and citrus aroma with moderate perfume background. Faint floral tea aspects. Pours hazed yellow with solid white head that fades to a dense collar of small-to-medium bubbles. Minimal patterning on the glass. Flavor is orange, melon, grapefruit and tropics. Bready yeast well in support. This is a really nice and balanced beer, and the 8.2% is well hidden so quite crushable at this ABV. Finding that Original Pattern has really upped the game recently and turning out some high quality beers.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated September 3, 2019. Aroma is hop forward and very fruity with lots of mango, passion fruit, guava, stone fruit and tropical citrus. Light resin and dank notes. Light cracker malt notes and a hint of alcohol. Pours a hazy, dull dusty, straw color with a large, thick, fluffy white head that exhibits nice retention as it slowly falls into itself leaving a small film. Moderately high lacing and light legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes and a hint of biscuit. Medium bitterness and light alcohol spice in the finish. Lots of over ripe fruit notes - mango, guava and stone fruit, as well as some citrus and light resin notes. Lingering notes of alcohol and fruity hops and esters. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice fruity imperial NEIPA. Lots of fruity hop notes and esters balanced by just enough malt and sweetness. Alcohol is there but pretty well hidden.
