Bottle. Pours a opaque mahogany black with a medium creamy brown head and great lacing. Aroma has espresso, leather, cocoa, hints of bourbon, wood. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, roasty, coffee, mocha, hints of earthy wood. Full body, lingering bitterness. The barrel is indeed only an accent here. I enjoy this, but I would like to see a version with a bit more time in wood.

On tap at Beer Revolution. It pours a dark brown/black color with a brown head. The aroma has strong black coffee, chocolate and some bread. Very nice. The flavor is dark chocolate, coffee and a perfect roasted snappiness and bitterness in the finish to balance out the big flavors. Only mild hints of barrel. Very full bodied and silky on the palate. HenHouse killed it with this one.
