Tap. Pours pitch black with a medium fluffy light brown head. Aromas of cold coffee, metallic notes, roasted malt, chocolate, hops, toast, ash. Taste has coffee, roasted malts, ash, soapy notes, dark chocolate.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long coffee, chocolate and roasted finish, body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft

Draught@CBC2016. Black colour, brown head. Aroma is coffee, toasted malts, caramel and some mild wooden notes. Flavour is coffee, toffee, some liquorice, mild roasted malts and some wooden notes as well.

4 oz pour on draft at Faction during the RateBeer Best 2017 bus tour. Black with light tan head. Aromas of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, light spice. Tastes of roasted coffee, cream, milk chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish. One of my favorites at this stop.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is roast coffee, chocolate, wood. Slick body, roast, cocoa, cracker, light bitterness, dry finish, very good.

Draft @ CBC 2016. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty coffee and caramel aroma. Roasted malty coffee and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee caramel finish with hints of chocolate.

[ As Faction Java World Coffee Stout ].Dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dusty coffee, coffee, java beans, damp stain - fusty notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, earthy - damp stain - fusty, java, dusty coffee, dark malt, coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160514]

CBC. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and vegetable. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, little vegetable, medium sweet, little espresso and a little bitter.

From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016 - Red session. Black color with brown head. Roasted malty aroma, lots of coffee, cocoa, chocolate. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
