[ As Sonnet 43 Gather Round Beer ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, smoke notes, meat notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, dark malt, roasted, meat notes, smoke notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160318]

Cask at the Guildford. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of light chocolate, faint nuttiness. Taste is light sweet chocolate. Thin finish.

Cask @ Dockyard, Salford. Extremely dark with a creamy head and a milky smooth texture, with lightish roasted malts on both aroma and taste. It’s a very crisp dark ale too.
