Draft. Black beer with a brown head. Light roast aroma. Chocolate and light roast flavor with caramel and light nuttiness. Medium-plus bodied. Chocolate and light roast lingers with caramel.

Swift, NYC tap: pours black with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, but not too much of it... Some roast and light coffee. Taste is sweet. No bitterness. Medium bodied. It ain’t too great.

Growler generously shared by Tcon. Thanks! Pours a jet black color with a quick fading tan head. Chocolate malt and slight coffee bean aroma. Flavor is much more espresso coffee than chocolate for me, though both are very present. Roasted malt flavor as well. Mild hop presence in the finish as well as a lingering dark chocolate and vanilla. Not familiar with the chocolate this beer is showcased with, but either way, it’s good stuff. Definitely a sipper. 10%, and it clearly shows. Another awesome beer from these guys, though I would say it’s miles away from their best work. Either way, hope to stumble upon this one again.
