This Pacific Northwest Style IPA is one of the reasons we fell in love with beer in the first place. The prominent floral, piney, and citrus hop profile is counterbalanced with a significant malt base consisting of Pilsner and Crystal malts, giving the beer a wonderful golden hue.

Bright, gold, with a medium head. Nice spicy hop note. A slight chewiness to the malt, with a touch of anise. Balanced.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and dust aroma. Grapefruit and summer fruit flavor with pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light sweet malt backing.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a clear bright orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of tropical fruits, resinous hops and ample sweetness. Flavour is on the sweet side (still), with lots of resinous hops, tropical fruitiness and near-cloyingly sweet caramel malts. Still too sweet for me, despite the dial down in ABV. Not bad, but it's not a superior IPA.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is tropical fruits, citrusy. Same taste with quite agressive bitterness. Piney bitterness aftertaste. Very good.

2016-10-07, cask at the brewery, dry hopped with Chinook and Azacca, 6-4-7-4-15=36
Hazy golden color. Good malt qualities, moderately sweet, with a nice, strong citrus peel character, but a bit too warm and undercarbonated.
Very pleasant though, I could drink a bit of this and think I’m in England.
Draught at the brewery
Golden color, just hazy, with compact head. The aroma is very nice, resiny and fruity, oranges and a bit of mango, lightly sweaty. Strong mouthfeel, the malts are a bit chewy, the flavor is moderately sweet, some light colored caramel and toffee, followed by strong bitterness, very resiny; unfortunately the pithy bitterness in the final is a bit off-putting.
Mixed feelings.
