On nitro tap at Goldwater, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out hearty oats, dry cocoa and light coffee. Flavour is hearty as well, with equal parts dry cocoa, roast and coffee. Not that robust or elegant, but it's smooth and drinkable, not least of which because of the nitro. Solid impie.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Light roast and light chocolate aroma. Chocolate and light caramel flavor with light roast. Medium-plus bodied. Chocolate and light caramel lingers.

32oz crowler, filled up at the brewery, pours with a nice deep dark body that supports a dense mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up some sweetness, a dash of dark fruity esters, dark roasted malts to faintly burnt malts and then a pleasing layer of chocolate malts. The taste delivers a smooth near velvety mouth feel where rich roasty to malt sweetened chocolate malts dance freely about the palate. To midway it picks up slivers of burnt malts and fairly faint sweet dark fruity esters. Into the finish mild booze rises up amid all the roasty to chocolate to burnt malts. Wow! This is rich and deep and a terrific sipper.
