This pale ale utilizes old school hops in the boil (for flavor) and new school flavors in the dry hop. Lots of Columbus and Chinook for danky and pine flavors alongside a Mosaic, Nelson, and Comet dry hop. Aggressively dank with tropical aromas mixed in.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is malty with some light caramel notes and moderate cracker notes. Moderate grapefruit notes with some faint tropical fruit. Some nice resinous and dank notes. Pours a fairly clear, gold with a small, white head that lingers for quite some time on the edges. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately malty with nice cracker malt notes and some light biscuit and caramel. Moderate bitterness. Hop character is fairly dank with a strong resin note. Medium grapefruit notes with some light citrus and faint tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, another nice pale ale with more of a classical style.

The beer is a light gold color. Good clarity. Medium white with some lacing. Fairly dank aroma, as described. Grapefruit rind, pine, some wildflowery honeysuckle flavor. Nice enough but the more delicate hop flavors are missing or simply overpowered. Mild caramel maltiness. Taste is medium bitter and really lacks much hop juiciness or flavor. It’s a bit bland. Some malt sweetness and a little caramel. Light feel. Not really bad but it seems quite old school, which the brewery clearly states in the description.
