Submitted for your approval is the return of our 1st stout. We gave it a facelift, increasing the malt content in turn boosting the ABV. This ale is rich with chocolate & cherry like aromas & a touch of coffee from roasted & black barleys. Hints of caramel & toffee lay buried beneath as the beer warms. No adjuncts were added to this beer so all aromas are from malt, hops & yeast.

From tap at Cellarmaker, San Francisco. Aroma is soft roast, nuts, cocoa, dark malt, milk chocolate, with a touch of coffee. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Very nice Stout, a credit to the style’s potential.

Draft at the source. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Taste follows nose, with some nuttiness and coffee notes.

Tap. Pours opaque black, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is super roasty, ashtray, cocoa, molasses. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, ashy and roasty, coffee grounds. Full body, creamy mouthfeel.

Draught. Light black with s tan head. Aroma of licorice and roasted malt. Flavour is licorice, creamy chocolate, nut on a toasted malt base.
