As the Kernville temps dip our spicy rye Winter Ale warms up the taps. It gets its kick from rye but has plenty of hops to balance out the malt.

Bomber. Pours a murky brown color with a large off-white head. A sweet nose of caramel and some deep malts. The flavor is very nice: light spicy malts, caramel, fruit, light strawberry, fruity hops. Very clean and mellow. Good.

Draft. Mahogony beer with a tan head. Grapefruit and light spice aroma. Grapefruit and light spice flavor with light earthiness. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with light earth, light spice, and malt. Nice hoppy rye beer.

Bomber from the brewpub (too busy drinking the specials to try this on draft). Nose oozes bitterness, along with citrus, pine and pumpernickel bread. Hazy copper brown with a big, lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is nicely bitter, with hints of bread a little background chocolate. Very nice rye ale!!!
