A Belgian style quadruple. Dark and strong, we used candy sugar to increase the strength without making the beer to heavy.

Sampled at the brew pub. Pours a translucent, brown amber with a fizz, whispy slightly beige head. Big nose of bananas, booze, cloves, spices, Belgian yeast. Flavor was similar, strong butter flavor, candy, booze, a little rum actually, bananas, cloves, plums, some tropical fruits too. Finish is sweet, very buttery texture, slightly astringent from the alcohol. A sample was enough for me, but I like seeing Franklins take chances like this. Kudos.

Draft. Mahogony beer with a light tan head. Banana and malt aroma. Malt, banana, and rasin flavor with spice, yeast, and caramel. Medium-plus bodied. Caramel, spice, yeast, and raisin lingers.
