18/12/2021. Bottle from Hop Beer Shop, Chelmsford. Christmas countdown beer 9. Pours clear pale gold with a long lasting frothy white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, citrus, straw, touch herbal. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Nicely done.

Cask (gravity) @ 31th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2014, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Colchester No Mans Land ].Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, flowers, nectar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, nectar, flowers, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141204]

Cask at Pigs Ear ’14, day 1, 02/12/14. Clear light golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pale malt, straw, hint of caramel, light citric notes, pretty muted. Taste comprises bread dough, straw, pale malts, light vanilla, lemon rind. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so.

2nd December 2014 Pigs Ear. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and mildly crisp. Light and sweetish pale malts. Floralness. Light citrus. Light dry finish. Mild citric linger. Standard stuff but easy drinking.

Well hello, Colchester appear to be seriously upping their game. Bought this beer again in bottle form and it's pretty darn good. Crisp and bright and clean with a lively zesty hop profile, notably lemony with an undertone of orange and tangerine. Really bright and drinkable.
