Named after a close friend of TGB “Jay the Tailgate Guy,” Jay’s Blacktop Blonde is the ultimate homage. It is our way to say, we see you out there on the blacktop and we know you’re thirsty. This is why you deserve a 100% natural craft beer brewed with the same stuff cavemen used thousands of years ago. An American blonde ale that stays true to form. Bold use of magnum and cascade hops creates a soft subtle spice that set this easy drinker apart from the rest. Beautiful golden malts show you we’re not afraid to put something besides water down your gullet. So crack one of these beauties wherever you are, and in the immortal words of Jay the Tailgate Guy, “Grill on.”

First brewed at Skyscraper in California, moved in 2010 to Cold Spring, later on by the brewery itself.

Can. Golden color. This beer is just not very good. Taste is like barnyard hay and whatever is on that hay.

Canned. Hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is grains, some floral and mild grassy notes with quite a strong hayish edge to it. Flavour is grains, grassy, some hay and mild floral notes. Harsh, and quite dull.

355ml can into shaker. Slightly hazy golden amber beer with medium carbonation and a frothy white head. Nose is light grains and malt. Medium sweetness, full body, a little zingy in the mouth. Interesting beer, touches of fruit, malt and pepper bounce around on the palate. Easy-drinking but quite sweet.

Can at home, 27/05/16 - for the state tick figure boost, NOT the style !!! Clear golden with carbonation well evident, topped with a decent egg shell white head of bubbles. Nose is grain, caramel, sweet malt, bleh. Taste comprises sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, all sweet and nothing else. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet sweet close. Can of sugar ... garbage ! Liberated 85% to the river Thames !!!
