On nitro tap at Whole Foods Dublin. It pours a dark brown/black color with a creamy khaki head. Aroma is coffee and dark cocoa. Kinda weak, but may be partly because of the nitro. The flavor is straight black coffee. Dry, medium/light body. No astringency. A tad watery for the ABV, but again could be because of the nitro treatment. It could use a bit more sweetness. Good. I usually like nitro stouts, but this may be one that’s better with CO2.

Aroma: Coffee, roasted malts, chocolate

This was alittle thin and watery, but a good porter.

On tap at Lanesplitter in Berkeley, CA. It pours a deep dark amber with creamy mocha head. Excellent lacing. The aroma has a burnt malts to large scale burntness followed by roasted coffee beans. The taste ushers in burnt malts, mild roasted coffee beans and sweet malts mixed with a hint of molasses. Toward the finish I get mild chocolate malts. Pretty darn yummy.
