(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 19 Nov 2023) Dark brown colour with foamy tan head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, toffee, dark bread and chocolate. Malty taste with caramel, toffee, raisins, dark bread, nuts and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Smooth, nutty and well balanced. Nice one.

Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear copper colour with a short-lived, frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt, light caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, slightly watery, rich, toffee, nutty, earthy, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
