Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown colour, almost black, with an everlasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt and caramel. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter and sweet, with a rich, smooth, roasty, dry, liqourice, light chocolate, liqourice bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.
