Bottle thanks to Team North Jersey. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is apple, honey, wood. Thin body, honey, apple, pear, dry, decent.

Batch 2013:
Short, clear, plastic tasting glass. Clear, pale wheat. Slightly active.
Rosey, stemmy, waxy, spiced, mead-ish scent.
Taste is more rose, wax & honey. Blanched skin. Grain sweetness.
Finish is very yeasty. So-so carbonation. Not super dry. Level alcohol.
Bit odd & not at all comparable to last year’s(see review below). Was advertised as a scrumpy.
Notes from 10/13/13

Batch 2012: 3.9
375ml bottle @ Von bar. Happy hour wine ...tempting.
Wine glass. Deep, clear, gold body. Slight effervescence.
Chilly pour warms up to a melon/banana nose. Sharp apples in the back.
Taste is lots of twangy apple peel. A little hay, but no serious barnyard funk. Somewhat tart, but more about the sour. A pleasant rancid/unpasteurized & floral character.
Beady, spirited carbonation. Light body. A touch winey. Noticeable sulfites. Short, yeasty finish.
Pretty good. Foraging for wild apples is bound to get this guy’s ass full of buckshot eventually though.
