Bottle from Webbs of Wychbold, near Droitwich. Never have been a big fan of these honey ales but thought I would try a local one I've not had before. Clear dark gold/light amber with small off white head. Nose: Light caramel malt, floral like hop, honey. Quite nice actually. Taste: Flora, pine needle, toasted malt, light caramel, honey. Nice. Mouthfeel: Smooth light to medium body, mid-fine carbonation. One of the best honey ales I've had and I now realise why I'm mostly adverse. This one still has a good level of hops in it whereas most just rely on the flavouring resulting a sweet malty rich brew. Simple really.
