Only my 4th Altbier lager. Clear gold, nice white top. Malty grain aroma, hint of caramel, hay, slight dusty hop. Taste again quite malty but decent richness to it, hint of apricot fruit. Nice smooth body with soft carbonation. This is my favourite Altbier so far although I'm a bit on the fence about the style.

The address on the can for Paradise is the same address as Beer52 - Fake brewery. The beer is actually brewed at Wild beer - Defunct brewery. You couldn't write it! Tight white head on finely carbonated unclear amber body. Faint berry aroma. Medium bodied, foamy on the tongue with a creamy back. Malt, tea, biscuit, berries & tobacco tastes with a lightly hopped finish.

[33cl can from Beer52.} A much lighter coloured pour than I was expecting, I don't remember ever seeing one this pale in Germany; it's more of a dark straw colour than the usual rich copper; the aroma is grainy; and the taste is sweet with a touch of caramel; then a faint grassy bitterness to finish. Not bad, but not what I'd call an Alt.
