This single-hop porter has a rich, velvety texture with the inclusion of Golding hops providing a honeyed, silky character against the bitter malts. The finish is a bitter, roasted one with a dryness that feels toasty and warming.

330ml can. Clear reddish-brown pour with thin beige head, little retention. Aroma of roasted malt, light-sour berry fruits, flora. It's quite bitter with light roast and punchy Golding hops giving a herbal and spicy element, also some dark fruit, dark chocolate and a sweet honey note. On the light side for a porter but flavours carry fairly well and stops it getting too rich. Much better than expected flavour wise.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A peaty brown pour with a loose cream head; fruity aroma with a touch of yeast; smooth creamy body with a toasted malt taste; and a satisfying dry malty finish with a little chocolate. A rather good porter.
