This approachable coffee porter presents a straightforward yet lively experience. Its clean bitterness, courtesy of Magnum hops, harmonizes with the malt and hop character. Delicate notes of spice and citrus later emerge. The coffee blend imparts milk chocolate tones with nuances of praline and citrus fruits, culminating in a balanced and enjoyable brew.

Dark brown with small beige to tanned head, modest retention. Nice coffee bean aroma with hints of chocolate and spice. Taste has a nice balance of flavours but the coffee element is less intense than expected. There is also chocolate, roasted malt, touch of biscuit, orange, blackberry but not much spiciness. It is a touch watery in the middle but certainly tasty, sessionable and with reasonable bitterness in finish. Likable. #50 flavoured porter.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A deep mahogany pour with a thin cream head; sweet coffee aroma; very sweet coffee taste; with a little chocolate syrup to finish. Too sweet for me.
