Black pour with nice tanned head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, dark toffee. Taste is bitter and slightly rich with roasted malt, charred toast, dark chocolate, aniseed, hint of cherry. Enough sweetness through the middle to balance. Smooth and semi-dry. Very nice stout, the aniseed and hint of fruit in the finish elevates this from your average Beer52 offering.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a loose beige head; rich roast coffee aroma; milky body with some chocolate and bitter, heavily roasted grains; smooth and sweet finish with well hidden alcohol and a lasting burnt toast bitterness.
