11/12/2025. Can from Bobby’s Supermarket, Road Town, British Virgin Islands. As Gateway Blonde. Nice golden pour. Aroma is citrusy, chalky, grassy, grapefruit, some ripe tropical notes. Fairly sweet with mild bitterness and a slight tart edge. Light to moderate body, foamy carbonation. A refresher and quite palatable.

On tap in a plastic cup at The Boathouse Tiki Bar and Grille. Mostly clear medium yellow with a decent sized white head. Sweet bready maltiness with a hint of honey. Floral citrus to balance, bit bad.

12 oz. can. Thanks Bob! Pours a hazy gold color with an off-white head and good retention. Very little lacing. Standard pale malt beer aroma. The taste is bready and a little grainy with a light lemony finish. I agree with the can: Smooth, crisp and refreshing. Medium body. High carbonation. Not bitter. Good flavor for a light beer. Great post-exercise choice.

Draft at Ford’s Garage, Fort Myers. Poured a golden color with a medium sized white head. This one poured a clear golden yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is some crisp malts, light caramel character and sweet grains. Flavor is some grassy notes, sweet grain, crisp notes. I’m judging by the name of gateway, it’s their entry-beer for people really into the fizzy stuff. I think personally they do a good job with it, as it’s certainly a good beer for the transition of macro to micro. It wasn’t my favorite beer I’ve had, but it was decent enough. I’ll state for the record that this style generally doesn’t wow me all that much, so this was good.
