Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (shared with Niller/Fam) - hazy amber coloured pour with off-white head. Aroma and taste is malty and fruity, with some notes of caramel, grassy herbal hoppy backing, pretty watery and thin, meh

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [190216]
Reddish brown caramel, soft haze, off white head
Aroma - light nose, soft caramel, light grassy hops, slight herbal note
Taste of caramel, soft grassy hops, light zest, soft toasted malts, soft spicy, light hops, not an IPA, yes it is a bit more hoppy than the usual Carlow offerings but not much
Palate - Soft carb, medium body. Finish as main flavour, soft spicy grassy hops, more caramel
Overall - Easy going, quite pleasant, but safe, not an IPA, expected it be far more hoppy than it was. Came across to me as an Irish Red, a better one that the official one

Bit unclear, red copper colored, medium beige creamy head, long lasting. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops, some caramalt and toasty notes. Taste is medium sweet caramel malt, biscuit and toast, citrus and floral mild hops aroma, medium+ bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Nothing to get excited about... (bottle, Scout Club Irish Pub, Samobor)

Bottled 500ml. -from Tolkien’s Zagreb. Shared with Marko. Red/amber coloured, medium sized white to off-white head, mild hoppy nose. Malty, caramel, light herbal hoppy and touch of metal with pretty raw hops presence in the finish. Expected better.

Bottle at Tolkien’s. Dark amber body, more amber than red. Small white head. Aroma... orange, light maltiness and that’s pretty much that, apart from some light herbal notes. Taste... mild aroma hops on a dry caramelly background. More malty than hoppy. Dry finish. Impressively unimpressive. Yeah, so you’re trying to do "session beers", Carlow, OK, but not everything has to be 5%. And not everything with 5% has to taste like it has less than 5%...
