Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5

Sample at the Clybourn brewpub. Dark brown pour with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt, hops and a bit of tart fruit. The finish is chocolate malt with a light bitter aftertaste. Decent overall.

draft at tasting at brewpub - quite nice - strong malt and nicely roasted. smooth

Sampled from the tap at the Clybourn location. Poured a slightly dark brown with a smokey brown head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma was a combination of roasted malts with a surprisingly strong pine presence. Flavor started with roasted malts and light chocolate with a slight pine note coming out in the finish.
