Strong toasted pecan aroma. Hazy amber, medium head. Cocoa, pecan, dried leaves. Light body, moderate carbonation. Toastier and drier, but still nice rich malt character

Pours bright dark amber into a Sam glass. Tan head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Caramel aromas. Sweet and dry with caramel, nutmeg and pie crust upfront turning to earthy raisin brown bread in the medium length finish.

Crisp copper and bronze coloured body with a pretty thin pale, almost pure white head that only shows at a half centimetre in height and fades pretty quickly without any real lace on the sides. Aroma of nutty, biscuity, grainy and especially caramely notes with a lot of lager yeas noticeable in the nose and some slight bitterness from hops as well, but quite strong. Light-bodied; Strong crisp and biting nutty and herbal qualities from the fresh malts show at first with a light dose of biscuits and grain and a dry, slightly caramely finish with the finish of flowers and light sugars noticeable. Aftertaste shows some light dry and grassiness, almost showing some saison or biere de garde notes, but the lager yeast, nuts and caramel flavours, especially on the end are strongest and longest lasting. Overall, a nice, pretty easy-drinking, especially for the style, beer with some nice flavours a crisp enough profile and smooth, balanced complexity on the end that makes this lager nice all around, sort of as-expected, but good to have, especially in the season. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 04-November-2021 for US$3,32 sampled at my house here in Washington on 13-April-2023.

Well look at these guys, venturing into traditional styles. And I'd have to say its a reasonable stab at the style. The malt profile is the star, with a caramel and melanoidiny presentation. The hops are there as an earthy background, could maybe come up just a tad though, as the beer leans balanced to semi-sweet. Fairly interesting full palate despite the low ABV, I assume because of the residual sugars here. Somewhat low in carbonation is the biggest problem though. Deep amber color, smallish quick head but good lacing.
