On tap at the brewery. Pours nearly black with a beige head. Lots of dry roasted malts on the nose. Flavour has a great roasted malt profile, some nuts, bready malts; dry and full-bodied. Very well-executed.

Dark brown, lasting tan head. Light dry malt nose. Vaguely toasty with medium bitterness. A dunkel, not a Schwarzbier

473mL can, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out medium roast, crusty bready malt and some toasted nuts. Flavour is quite bitter and sharp, with lots of crusty rye bread, medium roast, and toasted nuts. Crisp, dry, and bready. For the style, this is very well-made.

Dark brown. No head. Toasty. Has a light bready note, too. Medium body. Drinks easy. Kinda dunkley. Wouldn't mind more richness but that's kind of gravy in this style.

Black colour, or maybe very dark brown, compact beige head. Aroma of dark malts, burnt sugar, some ashes. Good body, it's not too dry, with a good dark malt base, some caramel, burnt sugars; I would have liked more without the ashes in the finish, but it's pretty well rounded. A touch of lager fruity esters.
