An authentic Helles Bock - A pale, moderately strong, malty German lager. Rich, grainy & bready flavour with light sweetness from Canadian and German Pilsner & Munich malt. A hint of floral and spicy hop notes from Hallertau Mittelfrueh and Tettnanger hops. Moderately dry and highly drinkable.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh herbaceous notes, toasted nuts, and bready malt — very authentic with that herbaceous character. Flavour is much the same, highlighting that herbaceous character, with light residual sweetness and toasted bready malt on the finish. Good stuff.

Pale amber, just a slight chill haze. Sweet, some. Biscuity grainy notes. Moderate bitterness. Vaguely bready, off-dry finish. Structurally I like this - not as bright on the malt expression as the better Bavarian examples but for a new world helles bock I am quite happy.

Sensible beer, even somewhat close to a German example. Sk coop variety pack

Poured from the tap. Hazed gold with small white head. Sweet grainy malt, very feint grass hops. Too sweet, out of balance.
