Hazy gold, white head. Fruity nose and palate, harsh alcohol heat. Unbalanced and vegetal. Big bitter end from alcohol and hops. Unpleasant

Poured from 473mL can. Lightly hazed dull gold with small white head. Citrus and tropical hops with a touch of resin, chewy malt backing, touch of booze like most Head Bangers. Decent.

Hazy, a bit dull. Medium head. Lots of hop, a bit burny, plenty of alcohol and not a ton of nuance. Some grapefruit but I'd prefer the hop expression to be clearer.

473mL can, pours a barely hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has a nice bouquet of tropical stone fruits, some piney hops, light citrus, and a touch of chewy sweet malt. Flavour is quite aggressive and hoppy for an only-30 IBU imperial IPA, with lots of bright tropical fruits (mango, peaches), big citrus, plenty of pine, some resins, and just enough malt to back. Really nice hop job here, though I could still go for more bitterness (blast the IBUs higher please). One of the better versions of Head Banger as of late. Excellent.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Blond colour, barely hazy. Strong aroma, piney hops, armpit, vegetable matter, alcohol. Good body strength, with moderate residual sweetness; nice malt base, bread, touch of biscuits and toffee; then, powerful hopping, mostly bitter, with piney resins, bitter orange peel, maybe some pith, and warming alcohol in the finish.
It could be great if hops were brighter; but even as is, it's a solid, aggressive, modern West Coast IPA.
