Chocolate raspberry porter
You know when you decide to treat yourself?
Maybe you’re in a specialty shop or the supermarket. You deserve a treat so you get yourself one of those fancy chocolate bars. You know the kind. Single origin cacao. Extra Dark. Maybe some sea salt or fruit… the kind of chocolate bar you savour slowly, one luscious square at a time…
That’s Zonophone.
A robust base of Canadian Pale Ale malt with flaked oats for a silky mouthfeel and a special blend of roasted malts for a smooth, toasted finish. We conditioned on Tanzanian cacao nibs from our friends at East Van Roasters for a deep chocolatiness and then added Fraser Valley raspberries to the chorus for a bright, refreshing high note. Full bodied with low carbonation to allow the deep complexity to shine.
Put on your favourite record, pour yourself a Zonophone and take some time for yourself. You deserve it.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is full of raspberry, light cocoa and a touch of lactose. Flavour is full of raspberries, cocoa and a touch of sweetness. Nice combo of berries and cocoa. Good stuff.
