The newer version is considerably better, the diacetyl bomb is gone. Better and drinkable but not memorable

Draught at the brewery
Light amber color, clean. Grainy aroma, sweet, maybe a bit fruity. A bit sweet, some caramel, grains, a bit footy; missing a true ESB character here; and with some cheese.
Not a disaster, but something is wrong here.

Amber, this head. Sweet, quite caramelly, not much nuance and just no bitterness.

On tap at Ridge, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out vegetal and herbal notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with vegetal and herbal notes, and light English bready malt. Pretty vegetal and off-putting. Lame.
