This winter ale has a bright nose, with citrus, vanilla, and ginger right off the hop. It's followed by a sweet and light mouthfeel with just a hint of molasses. It finishes dry with lasting flavour of bitter orange and roasted barley. Spicy and sweet to cure winter blues, but not too sweet to have at least two!

Bomber from the LDB. Dark brown. Just a thin head. Dark malts, dates and ginger on the nose. Come across the palate light and thin for a winter ale and indeed it's just 5.5% abv. That's old school BC right there - lower abv than it should be and with muted character as a result of holding back. The balance is good, but this type of beer demands more presence.
