[2021 Vintage] 650 mL bottle. Pours dark brown with a minimal beige head. Bourbon and light coffee and dark chocolate on the nose; a bit woody. Flavour has a ton of woody bourbon barrels, dark chocolate, dates. Rich mouthfeel, good carbonation. Very nice incorporation of the bourbon with the base stout.

Tasting at Phill's, bottle
Black colour. Mild malt and chocolate flavour and aroma, the body is a bit thin for the style, there's some roast and ash in the finish, burnt hazelnut, strong alcohol but not clearly marked as bourbon.
It's ok.

22oz on Phill's deck. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: lots of bourbon, some red apples and chocolate, caramel. Taste: along the same lines with grassy notes and quite a lot of roasted malts. Overall: ok.

650mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma reveals a robust bourbon barrel character upfront, subdued cocoa, and medium roast. Flavour is rich , with lots of bourbon barrel character upfront, lots of chocolate, and prominent roasted malt. Really nice bourbon character, without being too boozy, though there definitely is some warming. The mouthfeel is a little thin There are more complex and better integrated BA impie stouts out there for sure, but this is nothing to scoff at. Very good.
