Bottle. Hazy golden color with no head. Aroma is wildflower honey, a touch chamomille, raspberries yes, a bit milky. Taste is flowery, forest floor, caramel. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Very nice and balanced mead!

(Tap sample @ CBC 2016 Red Session, Copenhagen) Pours a murky, very pale peach colour without head. Aroma of wildflower honey with medicinal notes and solvent that overpowers any other nuance. Flavour is very sweet, a bit medicinal, a bit of solvent, and a lovely quality of raspberries and cream in honey that's sadly undermined by the aforementioned off flavours that it lurks behind. Thick syrupy mouthfeel, flat. I find the solvent quality to just be too overpowering, making me feel like a kid holding a tube of glue for making model airplanes. Doesn't inspire me to drink. Sad, as I loved the berliner that inhabited these barrels previously.

Tasting at Matt’s, corked bottle, vintage 2016
Hazy dull blond color. Some wildflower mead aroma, with chemicals, flowers, wax, some alcohol. Sweet, good body strength, good mead base, with fruit jam, flower oil, sweet orange, light vanilla.

(Sample from a bottle at RBESG 2017 Grand Tasting - thanks VastActiv) The mead poured pale golden and lightly hazy. No head. Aroma had alcohol, vineousness and sweetness. Palate was full bodied and sticky with low carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, cinnamon, vineousness and honey. Aftertaste was sweet. A very sweet and rather boozy mead.
