Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours tiny hazy pale golden leaving some subtle legs on the glass. Smell is fruity and floral with high quality honey, pale caramel, charred wood vanilla, raspberries, hay and alcohol. Taste is sweet, fruity and floral. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly oily, very tiny tart, slightly boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet with pale honey, pale caramel, hay, pollen, raspberries, alcohol and lemon peal. Lovely traditional mead with some suiting barrel character and subtle sublime notes of the berliner that previously inhabited the barrel. Lovely!
