This unique version of our monstrous Yeti Imperial Stout is aged for at least twelve months in whiskey barrels. The spirited aging process produces a hugely complex but mellowed Yeti, with its signature roasted flavors, hints of vanilla and oak, and a whiskeyed finish.

750ml bottle at the DC local tasting. Pours a viscous, oily, opaque black with a cloudy, brown head. Aroma of sour cherries, wood, vanilla, butterscotch, coffee. Flavor is big on vanilla beans, bourbon, chocolate, wood pulp, brown sugar. Sweet finish. Very smooth.

Appearance: Pours a black with a small off white head
Aroma: Bourbon, burnt wood, vanilla, pine
Taste: Strong bourbon, roasted malts, vanilla, hops
A very nice beer, the bourbon was strong but not overpowering. The amount of hops helped the finish.

Bottle 75cl. @ home.[ Trade by Bobby91w ]. Clear dark black color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, wood - whisky, vanilla, leather, moderate alcohol - whisky. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. [20090828]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has strong of chocolate, as well as notes of alcohol and wood. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of alcohol, wood, hops, chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a very bitter and alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

75 cL bottle. Pours pitch black with a fully gone head. Aroma is wooden, alcohol and dark chocolate to solid roasted malt aroma. Smooth vanilla wooden flavoured. Dark chocolate and hard roasted malt flavoured. Smooth. Slight boozy and wooden flavoured finish. Lingering vanilla note.

Black color, no head, just a few sparse bubbles. Aroma of cocoa powder, dusty, with chocolate and light oak. Powerful body, strong chocolate flavor, residual sweetness, evident alcohol punch with Port shades, nice subdued vanilla oak feeling; there is some liquorice too; it has a strong bitterness, with dark chocolate in the end. Powerful but very well balanced, extremely enjoyable.

Bottle courtesy of MaltDawg on 03/14/2009. 750mL bottle numbered 66/470. Dark black body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy light brown body. Big chocolate, roast, caramel and whiskey aroma. Big caramel, chocolate and roast flavor with some molassas notes and a bit of rum soaked fruit with a whiskey finish and a bit of dry bitter. Medium full body with moderately low carbonation.

Bottle 66 generously shared by MaltDawg. Thanks! Pours a hazy dark brown color with a small head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is chocolate, bourbon, maple, oak, roastiness and subtle leafy hops. Taste is toffee, caramel, bourbon, oak, chocolate, roasted malts, leafy hops. Full bodied and slightly sticky.
