Bottle, 0.33l, shared with ElDesmadre. Murky brown color with small frothy tan-like head and many body particles floating. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, toffee and with some fruity hints. Taste starts with rich coffee and sweet chocolate, follows by licorice and roasty sourness, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. I would rather call it sour stout, albeit very good brew...

Bottle picked up in the Carmargue, Southern France, June 2013 consmed at home Sunday 27th October 2013 Pours dark brown peeling away to lighter brown at edges. Touch meaty on nose, malty, good tang, a little dry, nice. Soft mouthfeel, like this, uncomplicated decent stout. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5
