Canned 11/11/24, drunk 1/3/25.
Lightly hazy, bright pinkish-raspberry. Large, pink head shows moderate retention.
Good amount of funk! Weird Brett, weird fruit fermentation character, moderate-to-heavy mineral including some sulfur. Bright, yet nicely-macerated and aged fruit with no punchy lactic acidity, nor sharp malic acid.
Juicy, sweet, soft, rather round and almost creamy. I'd accuse it of having lactose because it has that sweet, mushy sugar character, but I'd think they'd have to say that on the label. Regardless, the flavor is a bit less interesting than the nose, though the fruit itself is phenomenal, with no sharpness and all sorts of pepper and funky mineral character. Lingering juice but also that rather odd, table sugar/lactose-like sweet element that I don't think belongs.
