500ml bottle as part of a delivery from the brewery. Chestnut brown, translucent with a short-lived beige/tan head and a fair bit of lacing. Light aroma of chocolate malt with a strong astringency. There is a bittersweet nuttiness to the taste with light notes of dark fruits. A medicinal bitterness embraces the finish. Suggestions of coffee in the aftertaste. A nice well-rounded strong bitter.
