Here’s a fun new collaboration coming from Angry Chair Brewing, Cigar City Brewing and Mikkeller. This beer is part of the new Big Debbrah Series and this release is called Oatmeal Cream Pie Ale. This beer is brewed with vanilla beans and cinnamon and it should be interesting to see how Little Debbie feels about this. This series is dedicated “to grown-up interpretations of nostalgic treats” and the beer will hit 750ml bottles.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar Aarhus. Pours light hazy reddish brown with a medium offwhite head. Aromas of waffles, vanilla, oats, chocolate, icecream, light cinnamon, light malty, caramel. Taste is extremely sweet, icecream, vanilla, chocolate, subtle cinnamon, fudge, perfumey, oats. Not much else to back it up but the sweetness and light spicyness but I can dig it.

Definitely echoes little Debbies. Intense barleywine raisiny nose.

Bottle split at RB Best awards dinner, thanks to Homer, 30/01/16. Hazed golden amber with a moderate off white cap atop. Nose is caramel, spice, toffee, biscuit, ice cream. Taste comprises sweet malts, vanilla, caramel fudge, fruit loaf. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow boost. Sippable but lacks depth.

Bottle at home. Pours deep amber, nose is cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, taste is chewy caramel, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon, quite sweet. I’d hoped it would taste more like pie but not bad. --- Beer merged from original tick of Big Debbrah on 26 Sep 2016 at 18:06 - Score: 7. Original review text: Bottle at home. Bottle shared by Claudio. Pours hazy amber color with off white head. Aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, and some alcohol. Tastes like a slightly boozy oatmeal cream pie. Weird, but tasty. Medium body with average carbonation.
