Crowler to paper cup during Violet Hill hike! Pitch black pour with creamy light brown head that lingers. Aroma is hard to grasp with wind and paper cup but has mixed chocolate and caramel, banana, some coconut, roasted coffee. Flavor is dark and milk chocolate, banana is there, a bit of an artificial banana flavor but I like it. Like a banana popsicle or creamsicle almost. Yum. Some bitterness halfway through, roasted dark coffee and chocolate, some mild leathery dark fruit. Palate is excellent - creamy and rich but not heavy, smooth and fluffy instead. Finish is quite bitter and solid alcohol, then lingering sweetness and fluffy mouthfeel. Much better than j thought it would be - not overpowering sweet dessert beer type. Really tasty.
