Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, orange-golden beer topped by a small, dense, light beige to off-white head. The aroma is lightly spiced, with alcohol, white sugar and a generic fruityness and some pine cones. Itβs full-bodied, effervescent and still soft, sweet in the flavor but still dry, and with a nice bitterness, a tad too much alcohol burn and a mostly fruity flavor. Some pine cones and spiced hints. Lasting fruity, sugary, spiced and bitter finish. A bit too warm this one, but nice anyway. 150610

22 ounce bottle into chalice, bottled on 9/05/2013. Pours moderately hazy golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pear, apricot, apple, orange, honey, bread, candi sugar, coriander, clove, light pepper, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of pear, apple, apricot, orange, honey, bread, candi sugar, coriander, clove, light pepper, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of pear, apple, apricot, orange, honey, bread, candi sugar, coriander, clove, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth and moderately slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Tripel style. All around great balance and complexity of malt and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Pour is a clear yellow with a very small white head. Very flat looking for a tripel. Aroma is a decent yeasty ester with lots of the clove and banana thing going on. Flavor is a big juicy fruit with some follow up honey and sugar. I liked the fruit blast you got at first but the heavy sugar kinda made this a bit cloying at the end. They were going in the right direction to make a good Belgian tripel but just went a bit to sweet with it.
