Riasc Black (Autumn/Winter Ale) is a rich heavy porter brewed with an addition of Blackberries and Black Currants from the garden. This gives a mellow tart finish to the bold chocolate and coffee flavours.

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As West Kerry/ Beoir Chorca Riasc Black ].[ Courtesy of my Local Swap 2016-1 Beersiveknown ]. Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, damp stain - fusty, earthy, forest berries, blackberries, wood. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, sweet malt, chocolate, ash, dark malt, forest berries, blackberries, wood. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160316]

Bottle from McHughs. Brownish black with a tan head. Aroma of forest fruit and chocolate. Flavour is hedgerow, earthy, fruity, burnt, oily texture, velvet. Superb.

500ml bottle, pours a thin dark brown to black, very thin tan head that dissipates quickly. This is made with blackberries but it’s not too overwhelming. Nice roasted character, some chocolate. Overall a nice easy to drink porter.
