Mit dem Gauder Steinbock wird eine alte Tradition neu aufgelegt. Diese außergewöhnliche Bierspezialität wird nach einer Rezeptur aus den 20er-Jahren gebraut. Die Reifezeit von 8 Monaten verleiht dem Gauder Steinbock einen besonders ausgewogenen und vollmundigen Charakter. Die feinen Hopfenaromen harmonieren perfekt mit der zarten Süße. Der Gauder Steinbock ist ein idealer Begleiter zu würzigem Käse oder kräftig gebratenen Fleischgerichten.

2015er Edition: The beer is sweetish intense, slightly sticky, a bit sugary. Typical Heller Bock with lots of sugary body. The alcohol is not tasteable, but the beer itself is a bit too sweetish. Round and mild, hints of alcoholic warming aftertaste. Not much bitterness, nice!

bottle at home. dark yellow clear color. very small white head. smells fruity, grainy, malty sweet, honey. a bit one dimensional. full body, bubbly carbonation, full mouthfeel. tastes grainy, malty sweet, honey, some light fruity / flowery notes. honey sweetish / light grainy / bready finish. not really very special. a bit boring.

Bottle. Aroma slightly stale, oxidized, then dried fruits. Clear golden colour. Basementy stalish taste, rather sweet but not cloying, general fruitiness. Rather average.

Bottle shared by Werckmeister, many thanks. Golden color with medium white head. Sweet malt, bitter hops in aroma. Sweet malt, bee wax, alcohol, harsh bitterness in finish.
